Hello! I’m back after a brief hiatus for school/teaching/life things!
Top Ten Tuesday is a super fun weekly event hosted by the amazing blog The Broke and the Bookish where each week they post a new Top Ten list! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is maybe my favorite yet: Top Ten Yummy Foods Mentioned In Books
-
All of Cath’s delectable pastries, especially the lemon tarts, in Heartless, by Marissa Meyer
-
Pretty much everything ever mentioned at the Hogwarts holiday feasts, plus all of the treats available in Hogsmeade, and of course Mrs. Weasley’s family dinners in the Harry Potter series, by J.K Rowling (maybe this is why I liked the books so much–all the food!)
-
Authentic Italian food Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love.
-
The cakes that Lazlo and Sari dream of in Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor.
-
Fresh breads, meats and cheeses, fruit and pastries, tea, and ale and wine at Bag End with Bilbo in The Hobbit
What are some of your favorite foodie reads?
I definitely want to try Cath’s sweet treats and the food from Harry Potter too!

I didn’t even think of HP for today’s list, which is crazy considering how much fun, magical food is mentioned in the series! I’m glad to see it on so many other lists today 🙂
Happy TTT!

I think the whole atmosphere of a feast at Hogwarts or Bag’s End is part of what makes it sound so appealing.
